The ‘Boost Your Business Technology’ stream, also known as Stream 2, presents a tremendous opportunity for businesses that fit a specific criterion. If you’re keen to enhance your business technology, this could be the perfect fit.
Stream 2 Eligibility: Is This You?
To qualify for Stream 2, your business must:
- Be a for-profit Canadian SME, with annual revenues between $500,000 and $100,000,000.
- Be a sole proprietorship with a Canadian resident owner, or an incorporated business.
- Be classified as a Canadian-controlled Private Corporation (CCPC) by the Canada Revenue Agency and be privately owned.
- Employ between 1 – 499 staff members.
- Adhere to human rights codes, labour regulations, environmental standards, and anti-corruption practices.
The Perks of Stream 2 Approval: A Major Boost for Your Business
Upon securing approval for Stream 2, businesses can unlock a plethora of benefits:
- Your business becomes eligible for a grant of up to 15,000 CAD, which can be used to create a robust Digital Adoption Plan.
- You gain access to a zero-interest loan through the BDC, up to $100,000 per loan. This loan can be used to activate your Digital Adoption Plan and to subsidize youth work placements.
The Two Phases of Stream 2: Your Journey Unveiled
Crafting Your Digital Adoption Plan
- Screening and Application: As your designated Digital Advisor for the Canada Digital Adoption Program, ThinkTech will assist you in identifying the ideal stream for your needs, verifying your eligibility, and managing the application process.
- Agreement Approval: We provide a detailed scope of work and cost estimate for your Digital Adoption Plan. The grant can cover up to 90% of this cost, subject to approval.
- Digital Adoption Program Plan Development: Our role as your Digital Advisor extends to crafting a comprehensive Digital Adoption Plan that addresses your business challenges, aligns with your objectives, and complies with CDAP standards.
- Government Approval: Upon receiving government approval for your Digital Adoption Plan, you can submit the invoice(s) to claim the grant.
Putting Your Plan into Action
Zero-Interest Loan Application: Understanding the financial aspects of executing your plan, ThinkTech will guide you in applying for a 0% interest loan from the BDC.

Eligible Costs under Stream 2: What Can Be Covered?
Stream 2 of the ‘Boost Your Business Technology’ program caters to specific activities and expenses. Here’s what’s eligible:
- Costs associated with engaging a registered CDAP Digital Advisor, like ThinkTech, for the development of a Digital Adoption Program.
- Fees, commissions, and charges by approved CDAP Digital Advisors for creating a Digital Adoption Plan.
- Applicable federal and/or provincial sales taxes applied to the fees and commissions charged by approved CDAP Digital Advisors, strictly for the purpose of developing a Digital Adoption Plan.
Ineligible Activities: What's Not Covered?
Please note, any activities not directly linked to the development and production of a Digital Adoption Plan by the organizations registered on the Digital Advisor Marketplace are ineligible under CDAP.

The grant portion of the CDAP is $15,000. The client, you, is responsible for paying 10% of the grant up front to the Digital Advising company (aka ThinkTech).
March 3, 2022. ThinkTech began working on Digital Adoption plans as soon as the program began.
The best way to become part of the CDAP program is to prequalify your business in advance to make sure you will qualify for the program itself. You can prequalify on our website HERE and a representative from ThinkTech will be in touch to gather more information from you.
Any business that is incorporated, has at least one employee and also has made at least $500,000 in revenue at least one time over the last 3 years.
A digital advisor is a team of certified, trusted and experienced Business Analyst. These Analysts work with you to discover all areas of your business that can be turned digital to improve efficiencies in your day to day.
The CDAP program is a 4 year program developed by the Canadian Government and facilitated by BDC. The program began in 2022 so it is logical to think it will be over by 2026 however the program is so successful that there is always a chance that they will extend the program.
